At Once Upon A Child you’ll find a huge selection of gently used kids clothing, toys and equipment at up to 70% off retail! We’re not your typical secondhand store. The items that we buy and sell are next to new, good quality, clean and have been checked for safety standards.

Our process is quick and easy:

Go through those overflowing closets, dresser drawers, and storage boxes
Bring in your gently used kids stuff
Walk out with new kids stuff or $$$!

Everything we buy and sell is either new or gently used, and we offer brands renowned for their style, value, and durability. Because of this, we prefer to feature items that have been in retail stores within the past five years.

Other Helpful Tips

  • We purchase all seasons of clothing and other items all year round subject to supply and demand. Please call the store for more up-to-date and specific information & check out our What We Buy page.

  • We try to process our customers’ items while they wait. We ask that you bring in no more than 2 boxes or baskets at a time with none weighing more than 25 pounds for everyone’s safe handling.

  • Save time by not bringing in any clothing with missing buttons, stains, tears, broken zippers, hem ups, cut offs or holes. Lay items flat for easy sorting and inspection.

  • Items processed go directly to the sales floor to sell. Clothing should be recently laundered and laid flat in boxes/baskets.  We cannot accept clothing in plastic garbage bags or other types of plastic bags. (Please use a plastic container or box less than 25 pounds when full for everyone’s safe handling)

  • Please bring your items in at least 1 hour before closing to allow the store staff time to process the items while you stay in the store.

  • Have fun and enjoy that extra cash!
